Photo analysis - #1 in a series.
This is my first post for my new series involving personality profiling from photos. (It's going to be quite popular.).
Disclaimer: I do not intend to be mean or demeaning of persons, like people were to that poor college professor who desecrated the Eucharist. (Gosh! People made fun of his job, his college, his education level, his academic level - no wonder people hate Catholics.) So anyway. No. I won't go there.
.
"Father" Janice: (Claims ordination as a priest.)
.
From the looks of the photo, she appears to be 50-ish. Probably married with children and possibly grand-children.
.
It appears she colors her hair and either does it herself or goes to a neighborhood hairdresser - the roots, you know. Should have been touched up before ordination.
.
Facial traits also indicate the likelihood she may be a smoker - now or at one time. The bags under the eyes, the lines around the mouth, suggest that. Although some of the lines are probably laugh lines, so she probably has a fun sense of humor.
.
One might assume she has little or no taste as evidenced by the vestments, the Peter Pan collar sticking out around her neck, her pose, and the background art. (This isn't uncommon for spiritual people however.)
.
The environment chosen for the photo also suggests to me she is into or open to New Age spirituality and knows very little about authentic Roman Catholic doctrine, theology, spirituality, liturgy, and so on. It is obvious she has a taste for novelty in religious matters. Of course, she is not really a Roman Catholic priest either - thus she may have an aptitude for acting or impersonations. (This is strictly my personal take on the way she presents in the photo.)
.
All in all she looks to be a very nice person, in a Shirley McClain sort of way.
.
The End. (The author admits his studies are purely speculative and in no way can be considered factual.)
.
Seriously. I can read all of that from just one photo. I am so not lying or pretending or anything like that. Please, no snarky comments either - I do not want this to be an occasion for scorn or contempt for persons - seriously.
.
People to watch for in my upcoming series:
.
Cathy Alexander
.
Bishop Pellotte (aka the Battered Bishop)
.
Joee Toadjack
.
Janet Reno
.
Tonya Harding (Before and after!)
.
Stay tuned!

The waiting room...
.
Yesterday's quake in California confirmed it - I'm not the only one waiting for the next promised big one. Not just in California, but anywhere in the U.S. - we are a country on high anxiety alert - which explains why the press made a huge deal of a moderate quake that did very little damage.
.
A list of the most popular "big ones" many people probably are waiting for:
.
Another 911.
.
Any horrendous act of terrorism, but especially something nuclear - although it must be localized.
.
Another, bigger Katrina.
.
A mega volcano in Yosemite.
.
Any volcanic action in downtown L.A.
.
A tsunami - on any coast of the U.S. (All of these things must happen in the U.S. to impress us for more than a day.)
.
A mega quake anywhere in the U.S. but higher points if it hits someplace such as Memphis where we haven't built buildings to withstand quakes.
.
What most people in the waiting room DO NOT want:
.
No pandemic - no one wants to be sick.
.
No recession/depression - no one wants to be poor.
.
No all out war - no one wants to fight.

Cool looks from the streets of Milan and Florence...

These shots are from one of my favorite blogs, The Sartorialist. This is who the Sartorialist is and what he is about - in his own words:
.
I started The Sartorialist simply to share photos of people that I saw on the streets of New York that I thought looked great. When I worked in the fashion industry (15 years), I always felt that there was a disconnect between what I was selling in the showroom and what I was seeing real people (really cool people) wearing in real life. - Sartorialist
.
My comments.
.
The shorter trouser and tapered leg is so early 1960's - and as the "old guy" in the middle demonstrates, it works much better on the young guys - "Bumpa's" trousers could be lengthened about an inch or two - otherwise he looks good.

Sort of like gay marriage.
This is what frequently happens in same sex relationships - when there happens to be a huge age gap or people have been together for a very long time. In fact - straight relationships often turn out like this too - if the couple has lived together for a long time without benefit of marriage and no children. Yes. That can be kind of gay.

The P-Town players.

.
Gay people have busily spruced up their image to appear more family oriented, securing rights here and there until gay marriage has now gained recognized legal status, and many average Americans say, "Why not!" Nevertheless, gay culture has never really raised itself out of the t-rooms (latrine for those who don't know the term) - gutter for those who don't care.
.
Some gay bloggers and their psych-trained counterparts insist the low life behavior of marginalized homosexuals will disappear as gay people gain acceptance, along with recognition of same-sex marriage, and a complete end to any and all discrimination - even if it is contrry to faith and morals. Activists insist anonymous trysts and bathroom glory-hole sex, along with public sex in the park will go away when gay people are allowed to date and marry just like their heterosexual counterparts. I really doubt that however, there will never be any real parity with heterosexual behavior, unless the entire society becames totally debauched, no matter what the laws dictate.
.
The boyz continue to play in the parks, and the latrines - ask John Michael - "This is what gay people do!" he once told reporters. Now the cops are cracking down on the gay behavior in one of the gay fun-spots on the East Coast - Provincetown on Cape Cod. It is one of the more notorious gay orgy sites in the world.
.
The story from Provincetown.
.
PROVINCETOWN — It's a slow week in the northern territory of the Cape Cod National Seashore when a man with a yellow towel flashing passers-by is the sole complaint about public sex acts.
.
In the past decade, the number of complaints about explicit, open public sex in the Provincetown and Truro portions of the national park has more than tripled, Seashore acting chief ranger Craig Thatcher said. The activity ranges from flashing to masturbation to men's outdoor orgies, he said.
.
This summer, federal authorities are introducing a new tactic to discourage debauchery in the dunes: pairing up with local officials and business leaders to try to persuade culprits to behave better through public education.
.
"It's a growing issue, both from the number of complaints and the number of areas doing this activity," Seashore superintendent George Price said. "We certainly wanted to start a conversation with the people in Provincetown to see how we can tackle this together." - Source

"Timmy"
Remembering Tim Russert. 1950-2008.
No, I did not know him personally - I just thought I did. For some reason he seemed to me like every ones successful brother. He always looked as if he loved his job and loved life. I would have loved to have been his best friend. May he rest in peace. Prayers for Tim and his family.

Klute (1971) - Behind the Scenes
This was filmed the year before my conversion in 1972. One scene in the film is shot in a disco I used to frequent in NYC. It was an old church on the west side renamed The Sanctuary. Above the space where the altar had been situated was a fresco of Satan.

Crazy Friday!
I just want to do something outrageous - like a crazy, provocative post - something off the wall, something to get people stirred up. I'm so tired of posting my bland, ordinary, boring material. Maybe I'll write about the gays.

Priest
Remember the film "Priest"? When it was released, many Catholics were upset because it was about a young gay priest and his assignment at a liberal parish whose pastor kept a mistress. Many claimed the film was anti-Catholic. It seems more like a documentary in retrospect.
