So - Pope Francis really is a psycho?

"Nuttier than a fruitcake, Fawlty!"

Apparently Pope Francis revealed to a journalist he consulted a psychologist when he was 42 years old, to help him clarify a problem. (Story here.)  So far so good.  Although I'm beginning to notice comments on Facebook such as "It's been an open secret in the Vatican that the Pope is on psychotic medications."

The story can only get better going forward, I'm sure.  What?

"Hurry! Get me out of here - I told you he's insane
and has me imprisoned."

I'm just joking about this of course.  Nothing is wrong with consulting a psychologist or taking medication when needed.  The Holy Father's admission may help remove any such stigma.  I imagine those who dislike and mistrust the Pope may use this against him however.

This is curious... Lord Acton may have been gay.

“Power tends to corrupt
and absolute power corrupts absolutely. "

A virile aesthete-dandy...

It's gay pride month and they are all gathered in Grand Rapids MI for Acton University 2017 ... how ironic.

I was just researching Acton U and Lord Acton and made the discovery, albeit strongly contested, I'm sure.  Acton knew Waugh who wrote Brideshead - which has been a topic of conversation on Facebook of late.  Waugh based his character Anthony Blanche partly on Acton.  Again the homosexual aspect may or may not be true.

Author A.N. Wilson remarked, "To call him homosexual would be to misunderstand the whole essence of his being" and that "He was more asexual than anything else" - Source

Yeah, I'm sure there is no truth to those rumors.

But so what?

Nothing to see here I'm sure - it just strikes me as ironic.  To be sure there could be no connection to the Acton Institute and Acton U.  I mean that.

Acton, I want to get some too ... song for this post here.

I've had it with Pope Francis.

Pope Francis sat in the crypt of Milan Cathedral
before the Most Blessed Sacrament:
"He did not kneel, sat,
not once did he remove his pileolous
and assume an attitude of prayer"
Yeah - who's the lazy one now?!

He turns on you.

Today's homily is nothing but another insult - a direct attack on me - when he talks about the slothful complainer:

The Gospel story at the heart of Pope Francis’ reflection tells of a man who had been ill for thirty-eight years. He was lying at the side of a pool called Bethesda with a large number of ill, blind, lame and crippled who believed that when an angel came down and stirred up the waters the first to bathe in the pool would be healed. When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been ill for a long time, he said to him: “Do you want to be well?”
When Jesus, the Pope pointed out, asked that strange man if he wanted to be well, instead of saying “yes” he complained there was on one to put him in the pool while the water is stirred up and that someone else always got there before him. His answer, Francis said, was a complaint, he was implying that life had been unjust with him. “This man, the Pope noted, was like the tree planted along the bank of the rivers, mentioned in the first Reading, but it had arid roots, roots that did not reach the water, could not take nourishment from the water”.
The Pope said this is clear from his attitude of always complaining and trying to blame the other.
“This is an ugly sin: the sin of sloth” he said.  Pope Francis said this man’s disease was not so much his paralysis but sloth, which is worse than having a lukewarm heart. - Source*

Pick, pick, pick.  Always pointing out sin.  Why can't he ever say anything nice about the lazy complainers on the peripheries?

What?

NASA Discovers Gay Planet!

The pink planet orbits its star at nearly nine times the distance Jupiter orbits the sun - and much faster!

It pulsates - like a dance bar!  The discovery presents a challenge to theoretical ideas of the origins of gay people.

New proof!
Astronomers at NASA have discovered a pink alien planet orbiting a star like our sun 57 light-years away that they said is the smallest by mass photographed so far. (2%-3% of the population.)
Scientists believe the planet, GJ 504b, is thought to be a magenta-pink colour, based on infrared data from the Subaru Telescope in Hawaii.
While GJ 504b is the lowest-mass planet ever detected around a star using direct imaging techniques, but it is still several times the mass of Jupiter and similar in size. - Source

Sunday morning musings...

Sometimes I wonder.
.
I wonder what happened to all my friends. "Was it something I said?" I ask myself.
.
Obviously they were not kidding when they said things like, "Keep hurling the insults and you'll end up friendless." Or, "Stop posting fake videos of me drunk and dancing, or I'll never talk to you again." And then the notorized letters: "Cease and desist or face legal action." And, "If you are caught on our property again you will be arrested for trespassing." The classic one is this, "You will never work in this town again!" Gosh! How often have I heard that one? Or this, "Get out! get out! I never want to see you again!"

.

Some people can be so darn sensitive.
