"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

Another reason to hate birthdays.

"That's right honey, we gave all of your presents to Charity, you know, the cocktail waitress dad and I like so much."

  1. Hi Rhaps! No - I was just being dumb.

  2. Don't be [so] cruel!

To a heart that's [kinda] true!

  3. Look at how sad that child looks - is it Christina, I wonder?

Yowza. No child should look that way on her birthday. Only those of us of a certain age get to do that.
