The Pope's Armies ... I'm so scared!

Action Alert!

I noticed an article suggesting Papal troops could do the job American forces won't.  Like invade Iraq?
Why couldn’t the Pope dispatch armed soldiers to restore order, open food supplies, secure humanitarian efforts etc? - The Pope Needs Ninjas
Really?

Call up the troops!

I will hunt you down ...

  1. Are we not part of the Pope's army? Do we not swear fidelity to Christ the King through His Vicar on earth?
While the glory days of Papal armies is long past, they can still inspire, yes?

Those young beauties (the Swiss Guard), in Rome, sworn to protect the pope are surely noble as are their elderly counterparts as they all stand in allegiance to Christ. It swells the heart with pride and makes one smile to see such heartfelt and earnest intent in defense of the Church.

Our Lady of Lepanto, pray for us! Give us hearts of faithful witness! Help us lift high the banner of Christ Crucified!

    Viva Cristo Rey!

    1. We are soldiers of Christ by confirmation.

I'm only kidding here posting photos in juxtaposition with the premise in the article I link to.

      This is our reality:

Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.

Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil.

For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.

Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. - Ephesians 6

    2. Yes, we are and I recall that day of Confirmation with affection. ^^

I know you're kidding and having fun. I am having a bit of fun myself while at the same time recalling the importance of witness and standing firm and taking refuge under the Lord's mighty wing.

May His Divine Providence save us all!

p.s. Terry I am going to order that little book of which I sent you a link. I want something happy and inspiring to get me through these otherwise heavy days of sad news coming from the Middle East and elsewhere. ^^
