I haven't been to the Sartorialist for ages. I got tired of looking at pictures of people who got up in the morning and did their best to look as ugly or ridiculous as possible. To make it even worse, they're all staring at phones and it makes me weep for our world.
Some of the 'styles' he shoots - he has so gotta be laughing. He also has to be a pretty easy going guy.
It is a great documentary on genderlessness flowing from fashion - albeit picked up off the street - social change agents. When you think about it - Coco Chanel did the same thing - dressing women in comfortable clothes and menswear. She changed the world. What will these fashions - or lack of - do?
Sartorialist offers a steady commentary on the erosion of gender.

I can imagine Bruce aka "Caitlyn" Jenner makes (You make me feel like a) Natural Woman his theme song. NOT!
ReplyDeleteAll I see is desperation. Very sad.
