These type of people terrify me, they would hang us catholics up in an instance!
I met a fundie at my friends funeral, last year. She heard me telling someone that I would pray for them, and nearly bit the head off me! "You can go straight to Jesus, you don't need others to pray for you" she blasted.
Nauseating, completely nauseating. God forgive me, I nearly spiked her tae with something of a large proof.....:)
Actually, can you imagine getting them all drunk? Just a one-off, not causing them to become addicted or anything, but just to see what the lowered inhibited side of their brain let spill!!! I seem to have gone from snarky to just plain Friday insanity. I better go and find a video about boiling carrots, to calm down. My blog is all about 'orange' this week, at least.
Anyone reading this, who has time, please offer a Hail Mary, for my friend Tony, he was found dead in his flat last year, and had been athere for a couple of days, exactly as he predicted he would be found. He was a kind man.
Just a comment on the photo - It cracks me up because it is so insane - imagine telling people God hates them? That is insanity. And then the granny - it is like a scene out of a sitcom. I just posted it because sometimes some Catholic blog posts come off sounding like this. But I'm sure all of my readers got that.
Religion can cause insanity, the Rosary seems to smooth out my quirky areas, when I allow it to. Still so much ego roaming around my being, and the daft thing is, I know it, but self knowledge doesn't seem to be my release button. i suppose, in a way, it isn't anyone's release button, cos if it was, we would all become non-culpable, wouldn't we? I mean, I admit at Mass, each week, that I have sinned through my own fault, therefore having the knowledge, otherwise what am I admitting to? Sorry, I'm going off on another tangent here, but it must be a surrender of will, that releases, not self knowledge??? Mmm...how do I become maleable enough to surrender more freely, regularly? This is some type of self will I'm battling, it seems. I never did find that carrot video. Sorry Terry, for rambling in your comment section. It is Friday tho, anything goes.....(within Church teaching, that is)
