An Amazing Story About Rockford Priests Defending Life!

This is truly an edifying story of the very best type of social activism by priests.
.

In September of 2008 a group of Catholic Priests began praying every week at Rockford’s abortion mill special prayers of the Church that the abortion mill be cleansed from evil. Immediately, the pro-life women who sidewalk counsel at this abortion facility noticed a dramatic decline in the numbers of mothers coming for abortions and a tangible rise in the numbers of mothers who choose life at the abortion mill driveway.
.
An unofficial count of mothers entering the mill within a month of these devout Priests praying showed the abortion totals to be cut at least in half. This is also when signs started appearing in the mill windows attacking Catholic Priests.
.
On Friday May 29th, the abortion mill sank to a new low even for them. As a Priest was quietly praying the prayers of the Church accompanied by a seminarian, [And here it comes…] someone inside the building that houses the Northern Illinois Women’s Center put a sign that clearly stated, "F…. Your Perverted Priests." - Finish reading here.
.
Sounds like  Planned Parenthood needs an exorcist.  This is some of the best evidence I've read yet which demonstrates Satan is in charge of the abortion industry.  Hopefully many priests will note this and have more courage to publicly and prayerfully oppose anti-Catholic social activism in all of its forms.
.
Let's continue to pray very much for priests.  The power of the priesthood is beyond our comprehension.
.
.
Dear priests, "tend the flock of God in your midst, (overseeing) not by constraint but willingly, [...] be examples to the flock" (1 Peter 5:2). Hence, do not be afraid to lead to Christ each of the brothers that he has entrusted to you, certain that every word and every attitude, if stemming from obedience to the will of God, will bear fruit; know how to live appreciating the merits and acknowledging the limits of the culture in which we find ourselves, with the firm certainty that the proclamation of the Gospel is the greatest service that can be done to man. In fact, there is no greater good in this earthly life, than to lead men to God, reawaken faith, raise man from inertia and despair, to give the hope that God is near and guides personal history and that of the world. - Pope Benedict XVI

Thanks to Fr. Z for posting the Rockford story.

  1. This is just wonderfully incredible.
This "hell-hole" (Rockford's abortion clinic) was originally at my father's Medical Arts Clinic where he had a private practice...I prayed there every time I visited his office in the early '70s.
Their founder (now deceased) was accused of pedophilia, of his own daughter, taking pictures, etc.
A real creep. Pray for him.
They relocated to a former school (ah, the irony)...their staff is a bunch of nasty folks (obviously, from the info given in the article).
Jesus, mercy! That's all I can say.
And thank you, Fathers in Rockford, for your witness and courage.
The English martyrs come to mind here.
It won't be long (I'm afraid before they'll be hauling us into jail...maybe even execution...for defending the rights of the unborn, the elderly, the handicapped, the terminally ill).
    That's okay.
This earth is not our home.
    Heaven is.

  2. Thanks for that history Father - the reaction from Planned Parenthood to the priests reminded me of The Excorcist.

  3. Terry: You could never imagine the work of the devil/demons here...probably in every "death mill"...but their founder, Dr. Richard Ragsdale, was a particular demon-lover...maybe not in the way we might think (Satanist)...but to my horror, the nurse who worked for my Dad, when he transferred to Emergency Room Medicine, became a member of the abortion clinic staff...we had a "counselor"...a wife of a Dr. in our own home, when I was a teenager, who worked for this ghoul.
    I saw it all first-hand.
Exorcism is exactly what is needed here. Bigtime!

  4. Ragsdale & his wife were accused, however the charges were dropped. Reports indicate the wife took the photos of their "foster" child. Reports indicate the foster child was adopted by another family.

ditto the "exorcism" statement, ...from Fr. Dubay's book, Seeking Spiritual Direction:

"Some individuals claim to be perfectly content with their hedonistic lifestyle. But this brave protestation, notes Catholic apologist and philosopher Peter Kreeft, 'verges on culpable dishonesty, the sin against the Holy Spirit, and requires something more like exorcism than refutation...'"

Terry, appreciate this posting and reminder of the power of prayer.

  5. pml: Thanks for the more accurate version of the Ragsdale "thing"...my memory sometimes does not register; I knew the man, was absolutely horrified by the revelations that have come out re: his "foster child"...the guy was a real "mess"; Jesus, have mercy!
I could not believe the nurse (a very nice old lady) that was my Dad's "second in command" would go to work for this scum...the "counselor" I mentioned, a very nice lady, came to speak to our Methodist youth group (after I had my godparents who were our Pro-life Youth Group leaders come to speak) for "both sides" at the insistence of the liberal pastor...that's one of the reasons I became a Catholic...she was so "slick", so charming, so well-dressed and mannered. So what?
Killing babies in the womb is killing babies.
Satan doesn't come to us with horns, breathing fire, in red...he comes looking like our greatest temptation; but he does reveal himself eventually; those signs and attacks upon priests show his ugly side.
He hates Jesus; hates human beings; and esp. hates the Church and the Priesthood.

  6. As one that lives in the Rockford area and personally knows the priest in many of the pictures, I just wanted to say thank-you for sharing this story with your readers.

  7. SAHMiniL - you are fortunate to have such good priests. What a powerful witness.

  8. Thanks Terry :) I just hope Father's (the one seen in many of the pictures) replacement is just as "good". Our Bishop has given him a new assignment and he will be leaving our parish/town at the end of the month. I'm afraid that the abortion clinic will notice he is absent.

His reassignment has really nothing to do with abortion clinic, etc. It's just our Bishop routinely moves priest every few years and it just so happen that it's Father's time to move on.
