    And yes - ordinary life is hard - it's our penance without looking for one.

  3. It is lovely...I have been going through a particuarly rough patch and when I start to feel sorry for myself, I think instead, thank you God for the life that I still have to do penance and make reparation for my sins. I like to think it is His mercy--helping me to get to Heaven...
