"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

Chesterton's Fr. Brown mysteries on PBS

Fr. Brown

Editors note: The rest of this post has been deleted.

  1. I like the series with Kenneth Moore from the 70's. Sometimes horribly wonderfully cheap and cheesy.

    1. Kenneth Moore was wonderful. I would love to see the movie with Alec Guiness, but it cannot be found anywhere. Making that movie led to his converting to Catholicism.

    2. I think I found the Alec Guiness version on YouTube; it might still be there, though possibly under an alternate title...

  2. Didn't someone once post about two clerics, dueling? I think there was some haberdashery related dispute.
