Uh...I kind of like it. Does that mean I'm an art ignoramus? Seems kind of appropriate after the election. Mary and Joseph had to run away with Jesus to Egypt. Too bad there's no place for us to run. Well, actually I guess I need to run to the tabernacle more often.
Mostly the color and the fact it is post-Christmas - though it is part of the Christmas season and story. I prefer images of the nativity or the Madonna and child for Christmas.
Ah well, I can understand disliking the color. But, technically, we shouldn't even be discussing Christmas, right? We haven't even been through Advent yet!

ReplyDeleteNope - you are not an art ignoramus - we just disagree. That is cool.
DeleteI was surprised that there isn't the traditional Madonna & Child this year.
ReplyDeleteI wish we did big European style stamps.
DeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it you don't like about it?

DeleteBaby Jesus, his mother and father and a sunset. I'm alright with it.
ReplyDeleteThere are way uglier stamps: http://usstampgallery.com/view.php?id=ff3d3275e74dcbac2d970eea9ad779212cadda17&st=&ss=&t=19&s=52&syear=&eyear=
