Tomorrow and the next day.
Tomorrow is the last day of the liturgical year, and Sunday is the first day of the new liturgical year - sort of the Alpha and Omega of spiritual life. The Gospel for each day cautions against drunkenness.
The Gospel for both days cautions us to be careful lest our hearts become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, urging us to be vigilant and pray that we have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent. Imminent.
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
