Rainy Day Painting Exhibition

Photos of two of my recent paintings are up for your viewing pleasure at Up Your Street.
.
(The Cappa painting was not inspired by Fr. Z's recent blogpost - I had this one in mind for quite a long time.)

  5. Father you never offend me - ever.

Either do you Cath - bunnies and sunshine - what are you on?

Anonymous - Archbishop Burke - I painted the face and wave from a photo of him in a miter and Mass vestments - the photo could have been from his installation in St. Louis. I loved his obvious friendliness and kind expression. I'm not making fun of him here - just having fun with the cappa. There is a photo of him in a cappa magna but it is more serious.

  10. Sara - sounds like robin's eggs to me - but maybe blue bird eggs are blue and speckled.

  11. Somehow my name gets mentioned in a combox, and,as usaul, I have no recollection of what I had said to deserve the recognition.

    Must be getting old.

Oh - nice painting, even if it doesn't have a rainbow.

  12. The birdie eggs were house finches...caught a sight of the female looking wistfully at her nest on the ground...

    Maybe they'll try again??

  13. Sara - keep the eggs and let them dehydrate.

Larry - you just say funny and clever stuff and I thought my comment kind of sounded like something you would say.
