The remains of Jacob Wetterling have been found.

Saturday, September 3, 2016

The remains of Jacob Wetterling have been found after Danny Heinrich, who authorities had named as a person of interest in his 1989 kidnapping, agreed to cooperate and provide information.
The sources say Heinrich led investigators to an undisclosed location in central Minnesota where the remains were found. DNA tests are currently being conducted to determine if they are in fact the boy's remains.
Saturday morning, Jacob's mother, Patty Wetterling, texted media outlets “Our hearts are broken. We have no words.” - Story here.

I have no words either.  It is so sad.

  1. Their last shred of hope was taken from them. I pray someday they will find closure and peace.

  2. I have always believed and more so today that we are only alive because of God's infinite mercy.

Who can endure such pain? Who can get up out of bed in the morning after waking up with the knowledge of your precious child having been murdered? Who can rest from the incessant longing for a child who was taken from you?

I do not have children, I love my nieces and nephews as if they were mine and always pray for their safety.

I am going to do my best to continue to pray for children everywhere, for their parents.

    "Santo Nino Cautivo"

Holy Captive Child. According to an old story originating in Mexico, a Spanish physician, Don Francisco Sandoval de Zapata, was captured by pirates who set upon his ship heading for Mexico in the year 1622. He was held captive for a period of seven years accompanied only by an image of the child Jesus who Don Francisco had stored in a box.
By the time a ransom was obtained in Mexico City, after hearing of his misfortune, Don Francisco had died and only his remains and the precious image of our Infant Lord were returned to Mexico.
It was then that veneration of this image was begun since upon reflection the image of the Holy Child had too, suffered being held captive thus the name, Santo Nino Cautivo.

Here is the said original image :
