"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

And this I love - to see the Pope visiting those who can't attend the scheduled events ...

Pope Francis greets inmates during his visit to
Curran Fromhold Correctional Facility in Philadelphia,
Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015. (David Maialetti/The Philadelphia Inquirer, Pool)

Prayers for the Holy Father ... never a day off.  Never a vacation.  Going out of his way to visit the imprisoned.

  1. One of the acts of mercy, yes? To visit the prisoner. Papa walks the talk. Thanks be to God.

  2. Praying for more conversions!
