Prayers for those shot and killed during Church service Wednesday evening in Charleston, S.C.

Charleston Police Chief Greg Mullen said Dylann Roof, who police say opened fire and killed nine people during a prayer service at a historic African American church, was arrested during a traffic stop in Shelby, N.C., just after 11 a.m. Mullen said Roof “was cooperative with the officer who stopped him” in Shelby, about 250 miles from Charleston.
Six females and three males were killed and at least one other person was injured in Wednesday’s attack, which began about an hour after the assailant entered the church and observed the service, authorities said. “We believe this is a hate crime; that is how we are investigating it,” Mullen said. - WP

Were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Oh were you there when they crucified my Lord?
Ohh, sometimes it causes me to tremble
Tremble
Were you there when they crucified my Lord?

  1. How does someone so young become so indoctrinated with hatred? There are no words. I have made a habit of praying daily for those who are about to die, either suddenly or from illness. It's a habit instilled in me by an excellent priest who himself recently died. In these times, it's something we should all do. May the victims of this latest senseless attack rest in peace with Almighty God and may the same Eternal Father grant consolation to the loved ones they left behind.
