"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

Shop talk.

I got my haircut today.

Guess what everyone was talking about?

Pope Francis.

The place was packed and everyone was talking about Time magazine choosing him as their Man of the Year.

Not a negative comment in the place.  Not even a hint of criticism.  Ordinary people - so excited.

What a difference from some of the Catholics online.

  1. just a question to clarify...

was the conversation and positive commenting for the right reasons or for false perceptions... i think thats key

  2. There is no such thing as false publicity. As long as people are talking, and it's not negative...

  3. so as long as a lie spreads its ok because they are mentioning something that is perceived to be Catholic... im going to have to disagree here
