I smell desperation on Church leaders parts. Natural law arguments aren't working, "shut up, quit thinking for yourselves and just do what we tell you to do even if it makes no sense," is not working, so many Catholics see gay people, couples and families for what they are...what do we do...we retreat to the argument people always have when stuck..."It's SATAN!"

So true...and its amazing that there are so many different types of families out in the world...if only the church would recognize them, support them and affirm them, from gay families to friends who support each other, etc.
I think Satan would much rather have gay people who are ashamed of themselves, deny themselves a full life, and some who either go around screwing behind bushes in the park and then dying, or who get married, produce kids, and then go screwing around in bushes in the park, ripping apart their families life.
So, far from making Satan happy I would think (and I maybe being a bit logical here) that monogamous gay couples, raising kids,some of whom are the ones no one else wants, forming stable relationships and families and homes and taking care of others, staying healthy and providing a safe place for themselves and others would make Satan very, very, very annoyed to say the least!

ReplyDeleteYour right Terry, nothing Satan loves more then stable,loving families,people getting along and people who are comfortable and respectful of their own sexuality and others.
ReplyDeleteHe HATES people who are so screwed up in their heads they are promiscuous, or just weirdos living in the shadows angry at missing out on life, and children who have no parents so they are lost in the system, who in turn grow up angry and repeat the cycle...That makes a lot of sense.
