I hope the Holy Father get's a chance to check in with all the Catholic blogger experts as he composes it.
Fr. Lombardi's statement:
"I don't know if he will deem it necessary or appropriate," he added, "to elucidate the question of the opening date of the conclave. We will have to see if and when a document is published. It seems to me, for example, the clarification of some details in order to be in complete agreement with another document regarding the conclave, that is, the Ordo Rituum Conclavis. In any case, the question depends on the Pope's judgement and if this document comes about it will be made known through the proper channels." - VIS
Oh the details!
- Ban this and that Cardinal from attending the conclave.
- Convene the conclave the night of departure of the former Pope.
- Instruct the Cardinal electors to do background checks on candidates to insure there are no sex abuse scandals.
- Ensure the next Pope selects a name that is meaningful.
- Forbid the re-election of the resigning Pontiff.
- Forbid computers, cell phones, ipads, all electronic recording devices.
- No campaigning.
- Provide for open bar during breaks.

Wait, they have to do their background checks before the conclave? So they're forced to to background checks on every male baptized Catholic? Or just the Cardinals? This is so confusing. It would be easier if they could just have a guy in the corner with a computer doing the background checks as they bring up names. Or would they have to ask for the research files when on break?
ReplyDelete@Charlotte, I believe Williamson has had his bishopness lifted, has been expelled from the SSPX and given detention. What's Latin for "I will not consecrate Bishops without permission"?
He's been expelled from the society, but he is still "a bishop," ontologically anyway.

Oh, he has more than a spin-off group. And yes, whether he was suspended or kicked out, many are hoping he will consecrate new bishops during the sedevacant period.......tons of SSPX believe that the SSPX is going to "sell out" to modernist Rome, and they literally believe that the only real hope for the entire Catholic church is Williamson.
