I love this statue of the Infant Jesus. It is the statue of the Institute of Christ the King at the Shrine of Christ the King in Chicago. I believe it was originally in a Carmelite monastery in France (?) dating from the 17th Century, or perhaps older. The story is on the web somewhere, but can't find it right now. It is the most beautiful I have seen.

ReplyDeleteDivine Infant Jesus, save us!
I love it too - I grabbed it from Dymphna's blog. I didn't know it was from the Institute of Christ the King - what a wonderful history.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful Infant!
