"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

Come to the Stable...

The novena for Christmas begins tomorrow.

I love this film. It's one of the best. Thanks for posting it.

  2. Elisabeta - I love this film too - I wish I owned it. I also hope you got to Mass safely this past weekend.

  3. I liked the left hand turn in front of St Patrick's cathedral! "It's the law." LOL!

  4. elisabeta4:49 AM

Terry, Thank you. I did get to Mass. The consecration renewal I spoke of was the "Act of Consecration to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, by the Hands of Mary." Something similar to what you made mention of the other day. I take it you don't have to walk too far to get to Mass. That's a blessing.

  5. The story is the story of the founding of the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Connecticut. What a great story...

It is a great story, and a fun film -- even if Sr. Celeste Holm is a litter-bug in the clip...
