"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

  1. I really like this! I do have a question though - why do they always draw (write) the heads so big?

  2. It's lovely and captures the endearing beauty of the Immaculata and her Immaculate Heart! :>

  3. Angela - yes this is particularly over-sized. But I've always understood it is due to the head covering, coif, and or hair wrap beneath the veil. Muslim women sometimes have this appearance as well. I wouldn't be surprised however if some exotic symbolism has now been attributed to it.
