In a message to participants in a special Mass for peace at St. Stephen Church in Jerusalem Jan. 4, Msgr. Manuel Musallam, pastor of Holy Family Parish in Gaza City, wrote: "What you see on television cannot be compared to what is happening. The word love is choking in my throat. ... We are living like animals in Gaza. We cry and nobody hears us. I am asking God for mercy and pray that the light of Christianity continues to shine in Gaza." - Catholic News Service

Thanks for posting these.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome, a friend sent me several - I am still trying to process the images in my mind. These are horrible atrocities.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Terry.
ReplyDeleteSome of those pictures looked doctored....
ReplyDeleteAdrienne - do you think? I got them from a very reliable source. Which photo do you think may have been photo-shopped - I'm not very good at that stuff. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGood work. The Palestinians have been ignored too long.
ReplyDeleteBetter word would be staged....
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to this stuff I don't trust anyone. The one photographer is Palestinian.
War is hell and all sorts of people get killed that are not supposed to get killed - on both sides. Until Hamas is brought under control nothing is going change for the Israelis or the Palestinians (who are caught in the middle)
But when the Israelis call up the tell them where they are going to bomb and Hamas packs the building with their women and children, the only word to describe them is monsters.
I don't "get" war - never have. I think they should all go to Starbucks, have a coffee, and work it out. But that's is not going to happen - ever...
Adrienne - thanks - I'm with you - I don't trust a one - all the innocents killed - it breaks my heart.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are disturbing, and this conflict is horrible. However, one can produce photos & live footage which is more disturbing still, of Islamic terrorists butchering Israelis and westerners.
ReplyDeleteOn that last photo, which Terry asks that we enlarge and read... Does anyone know the date and location of this??? This piece has appeared on any number of online sites. All of the ones I've seen it on are progaganda, such as the online Pravda site. It's also been used since at least as early as April, 2002. Very doubtful that it happened in Gaza, huh, even though we're being led to believe this.
Should have included this:

Michael - thanks for that perspective - I admit I tend to be very impressionable - though the photos are said to be from a reliable source - it is good to be objective. In fact, the good man who sent me the photos, I had this to say, lies in a world of lies - there is no good man left, falsehood they all speak to another. That is why I concluded words can not help us now - only repentance.
ReplyDeleteLet's pray for one another Michael.
God have mercy on my Jewish heart.
