"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

Holy Week

  1. Wow. This one is quite dramatic. Almost disturbing to look at. But then again, His death was considerably more bloody and graphic than this depiction.

Good image, Terry. You always find the good ones.

  2. The "Christ recumbent" figures are very moving.

  3. Uncle Jim,

    Sevile Spain,

    Poor Jesus.

Have a holy and blessed Holy Week, dear Terry!

  5. Wow. I wish I could see this in person. It might be too much to see without weeping.
