It never dawned on me that Mother's Day can arose conflicted feelings for some people until one year a wise priest pointed this out in his homily on Mother's Day. Those of us who had positive experiences are not the sum total of human experience in this realm. Anyway let's celebrate the virtues of a good mother and be thankful we have Mary to fall back on when humans are lacking.
