Mother Cabrini

Mother of Immigrants.

St. Frances Xavier Cabrini (1850–1917) is the Patroness of Immigrants, founder of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the first American citizen to be canonized.

Mother Cabrini was an immigrant herself.

"So you too must befriend the alien, for you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt." - Deut. 10:19

  1. I love Mother Cabrini. She is the patroness of my Franciscan fraternity. She worked so hard to help the Italian immigrants learn how to function in American society and to become Americans themselves, as she did. St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, pray for us! Susan, OFS
