Bar Italia, Paul Cadmus
"Whoever makes a pilgrimage does well to make it alone, even if he must do it at an unusual time. I would never advise going along with a large crowd, because one ordinarily returns more distracted than before. Many who go on pilgrimages do so more for the sake of recreation than devotion." - St. John of the Cross
If someone is going on a lavish cruise - retreat - with a crowd and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?

Now that is very funny. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi Terry,
ReplyDeleteIt's been a little while, but we have mail for you again; I'll leave it at the Chancery Reception desk, if you're able to stop by and pick it up.
Thanks.
I also get my mail at the archdiocese... Anyway, the new header photo of your blog looks like Assisi--next to St Clare's Basilica. Yes? My daughter is named aster St. Clare...
DeleteIt does look like Assisi doesn't it. It's not - forgot the name of the town.
DeleteWhoever sends me stuff at the chancery should stop.
If you'd stop giving people that address and telling them that you're the Archdiocesan Art Historian, they might stop.
ReplyDeleteWhat?
Haha! I hate to have to go over there - what with all the scandals. It just feels dirty. What?
