I heard a rumor that a California based outdoor statue company, Silvestri Co., is considering casting garden statues - bird feeders after this likeness of Pope Benedict at Castel Gandolfo. Available in resin or cast stone.
I'm against it.

ReplyDeleteCommemorative porcelain beakers, tea cups, and cherute trays sold at quaint little gift shops at Niagara-on-the-Lake, perhaps, but statues? How about a Pope Emeritus action figure from Archie McPhee to accompany their Pope Innocent III figure (I have one on my desk). Now that would be cool (in that opposite-of-cool kind of way, that is).
