Oh shut up. Mt Etna just errupted. First the lightning, then the earthquake, and now the volcano. Oh, and the locusts in Egypt. And they just muzzled the American Cardinals.
Well if the Cardinals elect Peter the Roman, Go to confession, do Penance, and run for the hills, or should we be heading underground and in cemeteries, like the first Christians.

ReplyDeleteSeriously, it is somewhat remarkable that all the tradional signs and omens that almost every primitive culture has recognized as such, are being dismissed - not just by me but the majority of skeptics around the globe.
Now that scares me.
My cat coughed up a hairball that looked like an angel holding a fiery sword. What do you suppose that means?

DeleteThe skeptics, some priests among them, can dismiss them all they want. There is nothing wrong with putting a little fear in people if it means they'll go to confession and turn their lives around. This will be a Lent I'll never forget, that is for sure!
DeleteThe possibility of imminent death, which exists for everyone as a certain fact, is enough to put the fear into most people if you can get them to think about it (and IMO, if you can get them to think about the End Times you can get them to think about death). It is not necessary to distribute prophecies which are not approved by the Church.
DeleteTerry, Gabby is a female, correct? In my experience, girls seem to throw up less than boys. And perhaps your cat food is formulated to prevent hair balls? And she's a short-hair? These are the *really* important issues. :-)
ReplyDeleteLynne - she is female and short hair. I have to think it is because I do not feed her dry food. I did a lot of rading on the subject of diet and wet food seems to be the preference. her eliminations are healthy and regular, so I believe her digestive system is excellent.
