If you'd like me to speak to your
church or synagogue, contact me here.
Tomorrow in fact - or today, depending upon when you read this. I already spoke before Mass last evening at my parish.
Sunday's topic will be: So Advent is over... now what? Trying to find meaning between now and Christmas.
He just makes
this crap up!
If only people even knew there is such a thing as Advent! As far as most people are concerned, it's the end of Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe should be seeing the Christmas trees out by the curb on December 26.
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me... I need to put mine up.
Terry - you gave me my first LOL this morning. Thanks...
ReplyDelete@Diane - on the girlie decor blogs I visit, they started decorating the day after Thanksgiving.
I also knew a lady that took her tree down on Christmas night. Huh?
Adrienne, I have one to top that. I saw on Craigslist TWO DAYS AGO that someone was giving away their fresh Christmas tree, for free. They said they had been watering it daily since they got it, the day after Thanksgiving, and they're finished with it now, so if you would like it, come get it. Double huh?
ReplyDeleteGette - OMGosh - that's weird. But - maybe they were going out of town for Christmas? (I'm trying to be kind.)
ReplyDeleteTerry - I gave a talk after Mass this morning too! I had to tell my sons to stop hitting each other on the way back to the car...
ReplyDeleteSee - you get me.
DeleteLarry - was that so you wouldn't have to ask them not to make you stop the car?
ReplyDeleteIt was to make sure they wouldn't have to go to confession.
