The only way I know of getting very close to Our Lady is to pray her rosary. So from now on I will try to pray it more often throughout the day.

ReplyDeleteI used to beat myself up all the time because I didn't have time to do a full rosary, or even a decade, especially during a very hectic workday. And working in a federal government office one must be careful in making sure that your work cube does not look like a Marian shrine..
ReplyDeleteBut I find that when things get crazy I can sit back for a moment, focus on one mystery--usually the Carrying of the Cross is pretty appropriate, and say a Hail Mary....my "mini-Rosary" unites me at that moment with our Blessed Mother, and invited Her to be with me in my work craziness...She shares my burden and all of a sudden it isn't quite so overwhelming....
so nice to know that She is just a short prayer away..

Sometimes i wonder if the Blessed Mother ever had days like what we have...Baby Jesus is fussing because he is cutting a tooth, the bread isn't turning out right, the in-laws will be over any second for dinner, I really need to sweep the place and tidy up and set the table for dinner, and Joseph is working late (again)...
