Hmm,hmmm. You gots that right!! And never mind that the former Robert Byrde, of the great state of West Virginia, was a RECRUITER for the KKKlan in the forties (but he learned to "change"...the greatest American value, according to POTUS). Pardon me while I barf up my lunch, breakfast and last night's supper! Mutual.... is just exactly right! Our terrier has better morals than the three (four) of them put together...and he can be rather 'randy' at times (a shame on our house!):<)!
I've read where you hinted that he's gay a couple of times. I don't see it. It surprises me when people can spot something I cant see. He has a wife and two kids and .... well are you sure? How do you know? Maybe he and Biden are just awesome friends. You can have close friends of the same sex and not be gay ya know. hahahahaha
******** Now I will have to google "randy"
******** I'm considering going back to my uber cloistered life. Seriously. I'm so done with this world and it's garbage.
That Biden seems like the perfection combination of charlatan and dumdum. I'm convinced that the source of all his drawbacks can be attributed to evil hairplugs. That's right. HAIRPLUGS. They make you do nasty things when they look unnatural.
Robert Byrd was a good man, Father. And to bring up his past, when he has not only expressed contrition but taken concrete steps to rectify it, is surprising coming from you. (I only say this because I respect you so much.)
He did a lot for WV (I live on the border, and I went to HS and university there), and he will be missed. May God have mercy on him, and on us all.
I was in Vegas for a bit this past week....had dinner at the Cannery...had never been in that part of Vegas so it was exciting :) Next time I'm there for business I need to spend a bit more time there..love the 40's theme.
Thom, please excuse us yankees. I'm sure Father was more disgusted by Clinton's excusing the late Senator - implying that it's okay for anyone to do anything just to get elected. At least that is how I took the comment.
Sorry Thom - I was just trying to smooth things out. I just remember you once wrote, "I'm tared." Meaning 'tired' and thought you was a Suthina like Kat. ;)
My mother's people are from the South. And, I am told, my extended family was involved in the KKK. This is not something I am happy about, proud about, but it is what it is. These folk hate Jews, Blacks, and Catholics. And were extremely racist on all counts, for various reasons. This may be why I was so incensed that this President we have (who, I might add, is NOT related to any black slaves in this country; his wife does have ancestry to black slaves) used this moment for political reasons to somehow "absolve" a man who is, by the way, linked by documentation in the late 1940's to racist and anti-Catholic terrorists, who have burned black churches, Catholic churches, Jewish synagogues and otherwise used horrid means of intimidation; he may have repented, and I pray that he did. But this is just unacceptable to me...absolution does not come from "The Messiah" Obama...absolution comes from Jesus Christ. And The Prez better get this through his head if he's going to prosper. Sorry for my rant. Thom, you are a better man than I am. I respect you, as well.
I understand how unspeakably evil the Klan is, too. There is a cell in a town not 20 minutes from my home. I agree: it's filthy evil. I was only saying that Byrd changed, and thank God for it.

Okay, I'm back... Bad dog! And I imagine Clinton is worse than your dog because the dog doesn't have an intellect.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to have "scandalized" you, belinda!
ReplyDeleteI was just being naughty...please forgive me:<)!
Father don't be silly. I have 8 kids and high speed internet access. There isn't much that shocks me anymore.
ReplyDeletebelilda: You so good:<)!
ReplyDeleteSorry; should have been belinda!

ReplyDeleteBelinda - people call him the first gay prez because he has made so many concessions to gay political goals.
ReplyDeleteTom - I still think Biden is funny - he cracks me up just looking at him.
Fr. I'm glad your terrier is so virtuous.

ReplyDeleteThat said, I'm sure he was a nice man.
I'm a Yankee, too. ;-) (Ohio is north of the Mason-Dixon.)

ReplyDeleteLarryD: There was so "MUCH LOVE" in that room:<)!....sorry, can't help it!
