Let me tell 'ya, gale-force winds are something that are to be contended with when you wear a habit...I've almost had my tunic wrapped around my neck, and I'm not kidding (although, contrary to what some people think about Scotsmen and their kilts ("BraveHeart), we do wear undergarments!!
belinda: not to worry; we wear an undertunic as well as shorts under the tunic and scapular (gasp! in hot weather). I don't think anyone would be shocked; it's just..well.. disconcerting to have your habit fly over your head!
