"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

Got wind?

  1. Let me tell 'ya, gale-force winds are something that are to be contended with when you wear a habit...I've almost had my tunic wrapped around my neck, and I'm not kidding (although, contrary to what some people think about Scotsmen and their kilts ("BraveHeart), we do wear undergarments!!

  2. Dear nazareth priest..
Mr.Terry wrote a whole post on undergarments too bad you missed it. I would like to know what those thousands of people who ate the loaves and fishes did for facilities. I know that there had to have been a lot of children who "had to go" and I don't think that there were lots of trees to hide behind. Modesty had to prevail particularly around Christ. hum...

  3. belinda: not to worry; we wear an undertunic as well as shorts under the tunic and scapular (gasp! in hot weather). I don't think anyone would be shocked; it's just..well.. disconcerting to have your habit fly over your head!

  4. With all the strong winds we're experiencing today in Michigan (30-40mph), this would not be uncommon.

  5. Looks like the Holy Spirit blew into town...

  6. Nazareth Priest and Angela: LOL!

I could make a really crass and tasteless joke here but I'm holding back! Really!
