OH!!!! MY!!!! GOSH!!!!
.
I just stumbled upon a blog with photos of a bunch of Catholic women at a tea party - in the middle of the day... I think the blog background was pink with lace and flowers and the women were kind of pre-20th century looking... all sweet and proper and... traddish?
.
It was awful. Horrible. Dreadful. Stepfordish.
Thanks for not linking to it! Sounds scandalous!!
ReplyDeleteps - I bet there were doilies, too.
Yep! Gold silverware too - wrapped party favors - one woman had a hat on. I shudder just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteYou're SO funny!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure they weren't Presbyterians or High Church Episcopalians?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the tea party you saw was aka "A Dangerous Tea Party"? A very cool friend of mine invited me to one --had to wear a hat and gloves and a floral dress and speak like a Victorian woman. She said these things are hilarious. I'll take her word for it.
ReplyDeleteWas Jeffrey there?!?
ReplyDeleteShhhhh, don't tell anyone--I was there--the tea was delicious and the cakes delicate and decadant!
ReplyDeleteAngela! Scandalous! You know very well he was not in attendance, as was Thom suspiciously missing from our smashing event.
ReplyDeleteThose tea parties sure are dangerous...
