Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have salvation and power come,
and the Kingdom of our God
and the authority of his Anointed.
For the accuser of our brothers is cast out,
who accuses them before our God day and night.
They conquered him by the Blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
love for life did not deter them from death.
Therefore, rejoice, you heavens,
and you who dwell in them.”

I may be wrong, but didn't the angel who appeared to the children at Fatima say he was the guardian angel of Portugal? But maybe that's another of his duties.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct - the angel identified himself as the Angel of Peace, the Guardian Angel of Portugal. Portuguese tradition seems to identify the angel of peace and guardian of Portugal as St. Michael the Archangel. Cool, huh?
DeleteThis is why I included the image from Fatima.
wow those are such powerful and beautiful statues and images - thanks !
ReplyDeleteI now at the end of praying an Our Father, rather than pray: ....and deliver from evil...I pray: and deliver us from the Evil One, Amen. It feels better....
the wall statue, in Coventry ?! just....great. I have never seen many, many of these.
Ditto. No doubt St Michael is a powerful ally.
