"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

The Pope prays in Turkey: Stunning photos 'never before seen' ...

beautiful photos of a papal 'first' ...

Love one another with mutual affection;

anticipate one another in showing honor. - Romans 12

It is my wish, then, that in every place men should pray,

lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument. - 1 Timothy 2:8

H/T Rorate Caeli for the photos.

  1. Turkish media is a good source for Pope photos... this link especially...

  2. I doubt this is what St. Paul meant.

    This seems to be a Protestant 'reading' of Scripture, a citing or this or that verse to justify something, and at least implicitly place it in opposition to what Tradition or prior Popes have articulated on the matter.

  3. Brilliant and clear analysis on this here: http://www.harvestingthefruit.com/diminished/#comments

    This is exactly it.
