So I thought I'd do a post showing off my language skills with memorable personal quotes, while emulating a few of the more intellectual blogs I read on a regular basis, in homage to their weekly posts they hope might attract weekend readers who would otherwise ignore them.

    Forget personal quotes, we finally have a bonafide Terry Nelson photo thanks to the upcoming 2015 LA Religious Ed conference website. You are slated to speak at two workshops:

    6-16: Seeing the Gift of Body: Jesus and the Good Use of Sexuality
    7-19: Seeing Good Church: Healing Our Fearful Blindness to Risk

    You are going by Terry Nelson-Johnson, and the photo fits your age, etc. It's all very uncanny. You can check it out here: www.REcongress.org

    I would feel very out of place at said conference--judging by the speakers. Give me your Ethiopians any day.

      That is uncanny! LOL! I've googled my name before and all I get are my fake photos and others who have no connection at all. I even discovered there is a Terry Nelson at Abbey Road Studio.

      I have posted photos of my younger self - and I have the monatery photo in my sidebar. My avatar is always what I think I look like.

      Where's a Catholic late night show when you need it. There can be a segment where one of the guys, let's call him "DarryL," speaks in tongues to people on the street and see who can interpret it correctly.

    Sorry if I'm out of bounds commenting here on your James Joyce post so delete if you wish, but I had to say: the end of that post reminds me of Flannery O'Connor's "Wise Blood." After the main character blinds himself, his landlady thinks about him as a guide to life after death: "Who better to lead the blind than the blind, who knew what it was like?" O'Connor's short stories are generally too traumatic for me, but I love "Wise Blood" and the landlady's thought has always seemed wise to me, more so now if you're one of the blind.

    This is so going to be my "Friday Quote of the Day!!!!!!

    I like the Wisconsin Bad Boy's idea. I could interview people leaving Mass early, too, asking them why they are in such a hurry, chasing them to their cars with microphone and camera in tow!

      See - I like that idea too. It would be great to have a Catholic paparazzi group that did stuff like that - or to hunt down famous Catholics who have fallen into obscurity. A Catholic TMZ show.
