"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

FYI: Tomorrow is the last day of the Novena for the Oscars.

  1. Is it too late to start?

  2. I think I'll stick with the Novena to The Holy Face I've been making. Feast: Shrove Tuesday a.k.a Mardi Gras. The Oscars remind me me of the quote from a Rabbi in Lumen Fidei regarding "Idols". Idol worship, the rabbi said, is "seeking a face which is not a face."
I love good movies, but the Oscars are a bore. Zzzzzzzzzzz.

  3. Did you buy your statuette shaped chocolates yet? I saw them at Lunds.

    1. Not yet - but I have my tux.

  4. "My baloney has a first name - it's O-S-C-A-R...."
