"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

    1. To be honest, I kind of think the NCRegister is a Stepford portal - esp. now that it is under the control of Catholic Disney - err, EWTN. (Then there are the Texas people...) Not that anything is wrong with that.

      What?

  3. "I kind of think the NCRegister is a Stepford portal." Me too. Some of them write very similarly, using what now seem to be stock expressions.

There's a backslapping phenomenon - like what often occurs at Patheos - that gets old after a while. To me.
