Little Kim Jong-Il rules the fashion world.

Strike the pose!
.
The trademark suit sported by North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il is now in fashion worldwide thanks to his greatness, Pyongyang's official website said Wednesday.
.
Uriminzokkiri, quoting an article in communist party newspaper Rodong Sinmun, said the modest-looking suits have gripped people's imagination and become a global vogue.
.
The article quoted an unidentified French fashion expert as saying world fashion follows Kim Jong-Il's style.  "Kim Jong-Il mode which is now spreading expeditiously worldwide is something unprecedented in the world's history," the stylist was quoted as saying. - Full report here.

  1. I wouldn't want to look like that if you paid me a million dollars (and I could USE a million, believe me!).

  6. great modest general11:21 PM

If I am not mistaken this is certainly from the hottest mill series, Shan'tng/Dopi'ni grey-mint, the latest in clean, fresh and re-usable fabrics. Very eco-friendly, gifting the wearer the authoritative, yet approachable look.

The fabric's smooth texture accents the outfit's design lending the Dictator a no-fuss, ready-to-wear, pristine appearance under any emergency condition.

The chosen grey-mint symbolically projects the cool, controlled approach of his ruling style, while reflecting the bleak and bland reality he rules over.

Next year I heard the elastane fibers might be utilized, since Kim is getting more vocal about the threads he is wearing these days ... stay tune

  8. Here in South Korea, back in 200o after the North-South Kim-Kim Summit, there was a very brief period during which "Kim Jong-il Fashion" was all the rage. Both "the People's Outfit," pictured in your post, and "Kim Jong-il Shoes," were sold widely.

By the way, the name of the official North Korean magazine mentioned in your post, Uriminzokkiri, underscores the racialist nature of the regime. It means "among our race." North Korean propaganda is far close to national socialism than international socialism.
