"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church.

Pray very much for the Church and the Holy Father, and the Bishops and the priests in communion with him.

  1. That is such a beautiful picture! St Joseph, the most neglected saint, portrayed in such a beautiful light!

  2. I can't recall where I found the image, but I like it too.

He's so humble, we forget that Joseph is patriarch. This rendition of him is amazing--a picture is indeed worth a thousand words. I'm glad he is holding the lily of purity as well--I unapologetically lean toward Abp. Sheen's theory of St. Joseph's total virginity via the article at CIN (Catholic Information Network) titled, "World's Happiest Marriage."
