"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

That's an interesting idea that's been around for as long as there has been monastic life. I don't believe it. Unfortunately, there are men and women who become convinced of this idea, and persevere in the monastery inspite of the fact that they don't have a vocation.

  2. I only meant I did not persevere.

  3. Gee, that bell sounds familiar. No wait, I know why, I've heard many a time. Mille grazie for posting s video with 1 of my favorite spots in the DBQ area.
