    1. I remain unimpressed. A leaf blower would have caused major scandal. ^^)

    2. Haha! I'm convinced they wanted this to be seen to be provocative.

  3. It strikes me as mocking which makes no sense for those who are advocating old rituals. Years ago while camping some young me did a similar thing while singing Tantum Ego. Many found it funny I found it offensive and even blasphemous. I will never understand how people rationalize this behavior with love of the Church.

  5. Just to clarify, me should read men. I watched as they paraded around the campsite mocking a ritual and hymn that was dear to me. I do not take offense easily, but this made me instantly offended. Was I wrong?

Not at all. I too would find what you describe offensive. I just don't understand what it has to do with the original post. I get that lots of people find the cappa magna silly and risible, but the people in the video don't seem to be mocking. Hence my question, who's doing the mocking?

  6. It seems that they are parading around the yard with no real purpose but to show off. Maybe not, but it reminded me of a long forgotten incident of playful behavior of young men familiar with the old Benediction services. Probably former altar boys just having fun.
