This story is very hard to believe.

Promiscuous gay man becomes attracted to women only after living a celibate life for one year.

Just one year.  He's 27 and straight for life.  "The young man said he is now looking for an “open-minded girl I can lose my virginity to."

One year and he's totally straight.  God bless him, but the guy who wrote the article isn't helping anyone with this type of news.  Just saying.

UNITED KINGDOM, January 9, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – A 27-year-old man who had identified as ‘gay’ since age 14 has realized he is not a homosexual after choosing to remain celibate for a year.
Dominic Hilton, after performing homosexual acts with up to 150 men and engaging in 4 longer-term relationships with other males during his young life and working as a ‘male escort,’ clearly surprised himself with the discovery that he isn’t ‘gay’ after all.
“If you’d have asked me in the past if a person can change their sexuality, I’d have said no – but I’m living proof that you can,” Hilton told The Mirror. “Sex is always something I enjoyed, but this past year, that sexual attraction to men has just gone.”
“It was a gradual thing – not like someone flicked a switch and I was straight – but now I am actively seeking a girl to settle down with,” said Hilton.

Following the break up with his ‘boyfriend’ on Christmas Day, 2017, the 27-year-old from Bournemouth, England resolved that in the new year he would abstain from sexual activity and dating. - LifeSite

He can identify however he wants.

  1. He needs psychiatric help and deep spiritual healing, not a woman.

  2. I think you may be missing an important point. How many people become what other people project onto them? How many people are trapped in a habit that does not define who they are? I am not expert on this subj, but say we give up something we are tethered to for a year. We find we no longer desire it. Maybe we are changed. Maybe it was not our true self.? Maybe it is the grace of God? I do not know and cannot judge. A human being is so much more then the sum total of our habits. Just saying.

    2. There are gay men who live celibate lives and it does not change who they are. One example is the priest in Milwaukee, Fr. Gregory Greiten, who lived completely celibate, and still was living in absolute misery trying to deny who he was.

This priest has every intention of continuing to live celibate, but he is no longer denying that he is gay. I admire his courage and faith. As he wrote, “This past May, I celebrated my 25th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood — for 25 years I have faithfully served as a priest. ”

What about all the people in Courage? They live celibate lives and it doesn’t change who they are.

In the past, gays and lesbians tried very hard to deny their sexuality, and it just did not work.

      This story is absolute BS.

    3. Mary - that's my take on it as well. As for Courage - the whole point is living a chaste, holy life - nothing about becoming straight and being attracted to women. That is such a losing proposition. Relationships are about love. I have good friends who acted out, that is tried the gay scene but they actually fell in love with women and wanted a family - they are very happy. They are faithful husbands and fathers. Speaking of lesbians, this story plays into that old male trope, 'all she needs is a good ____ and she won't want to be with another woman. That's pretty much what this story is saying.

Gay men can be attracted to women just as gay women can be attracted to men. Just like straight people can find the same sex attractive. Anyway. This kid could be putting every body on.

  3. "Lose his virginity"?

Sorry, son, you lost yours a long while ago.
Get out of this scam before it spits you out and leaves you worse off than when you began.

  5. Seven pre Vatican priests exposed publicly at prestigious Jesuit High School. So, problem clearly predates the Second Vatican Council.
