  1. No, no, no, no, no!!!!!

It is impossible to be a politician and not be corrupt. Just as a start, Bush was a members of Skull and Bones.

Please don’t buy into the hype.

  2. I hope he is not the last great soldier/statesman. There is a lot to inspire others in GWHB's life, partisan politics aside. He was a patriotic, self-sacrificing soldier. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. And he spent his life thinking of others, and serving his country. We don't see too many good men like that at the moment, but I don't think they are an extinct species. God bless all here, and the soul of GHWB. Susan, OFS

  3. It's complicated. No politician at his level is stainfree. There is always plenty of dirty behavior either by them directly or indirectly through their campaigns and supporters. He does seem to be the last of an era that had America as an example of goodness and greatness. He could be trusted to really put America first without a meanness that currently prevails. He tried to live a Christian life and for that we should be grateful.

    1. There is a scripture about businessmen that they too are corrupt - I can't find it - but Our Lord always, always referred to our generation as corrupt and dishonest. It seems to me only Pope Francis points this out as he praises the mercy of Christ.
