Mrs. Rabitowitz
Pregnant again.
I spoke to her face to face, very gently explaining why I did not want her to eat the Hostas, and telling her the lawn is un-mowed and long enough for her to graze. She seemed fine with that. I bend over backwards for these critters.
Now, a question for Adrienne...
Why are my climbing roses getting yellow leaves?
They are Canadian grown, winter hardy,
and maybe ten years old.
(Adrienne is a Master Gardener - Just found out it's probably chlorosis.)
I would be running wild too living in such lush greenery. ;p
ReplyDeleteI planted some new hosta last year - the really yuuuuuge ones. They're gorgeous. When we had that bad storm last year that broke so many branches on trees, a big branch broke on my weeping cherry which was shading some of my hosta in the afternoon. Maybe I should get them little umbrellas.
ReplyDeleteI would amend the soil right now and you may want to try Spray and Grow. Good stuff.

Also the new Miracle Gro Shake and Feed is great. I got the all purpose last year at Costco. I just ordered some from Amazon for my veggies and strawberries. Cheaper than Walmart and free shipping with Prime.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Rabitowitz is pregnant again? And your're surprised - why?
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, he thought she was done !ing like a bunny
ReplyDeleteBunnies are never done. Never...
DeleteAdrienne - I will try all of that - thanks!
ReplyDeleteYaya - I have a lot of trimming to do though. In fact, I was going to mow today and it rained again. The hedges need shaping even though they are going more natural.
Well, then I better get to the wild things before you cut it all away ... on second thought, Mrs. Rabitowitz beat me to it.
DeleteEver had rabbit stew
ReplyDeleteWe have had grilled rabbit and it was delish. Sadly, rabbit is no longer sold at any of the grocery stores that I frequent.
DeleteI've had roasted rabbit - it was good.
