Snow in Minneapolis ... and a Trump television special! LIVE from New York!

Him like!

UPDATE:

Press Conference over ...

He did good.

I love the way he called out the press.

Don't hate me for this - but I think he's got it together.

We have to go forward and hopefully get behind the President-elect.

  3. I will give credit where credit is due. That honor goes to the glorious St. Joseph whom I have been asking since Trump was elected, to watch over him, to guide him by his example, to pray with me that PE Trump becomes upright and just.

I'm going to keep praying and hoping for the best.

    Gracias San Jose!

  4. I will agree withYaya. She has, I think, chosen the right path on this one. I am skeptical on the Russian connection. What is the truth remains unsettled. There are too many Russian connections in his organization. Too many untruths and half truths. With Rubio, McCain and others convinced there is something there I remain uncomfortable with our future President. Nixon won reelection under a cloud only to fall within two years. If more real news comes out the same could befall Trump. I hope not. The man I saw today did not convince me of anything other then he believes himself a righteous man being picked on. The most salacious reports may very well be fake. Again, I hope so. There are too many unanswered questions about many financial issues. He could address these with releasing his taxes but he will not. We will see in time. It is best for us if it is not so. Remember Nixon convinced the majority of people his hands were clean until his own party said resign or be impeached. The same fate could await Trump. Even if that never happens he is not a man to admire. St. Joseph has his work cut out for him. I do have confidence in him. Thank you Yaya.

    1. Wallace,
You right to be concerned about Russian issues but why in the world should Trump show anyone his taxes simply because a tradition started some decades ago of presidents doing so? It is not legally binding on him to do so just as the law does not bind Prsidents to avoid conflicts of interest.
He's addressing that realm voluntarily and the NY Times makes a career out of conflating the moral level with the legal level as it did today by citing the chief ethics officer...knowing full well that he has no jurisdiction over Trump. Trump should serve notice that divesting issues and tax issues are over and are a wasting of time that should go to real actionable issues like investigating rising drug prices that have bothered him and are horrendous in the area of drug addict overdoes antidotes.
Liberals want Trump's hands tied by investigations just like republicans wanted Obama's hands
tied in diverse ways. The new gridlock would be Trump answering divesting questions...instead of working. I hope he flips the entire pro abortion media like the NY Times....the bird.

  5. I think Bill the issue of tax returns being released is more then a tradition. A tradition is that I put up a Christmas tree every December or practice "first footing" my family on January 1 every year. Important to me, but not nessarily to anyone else. He is, I believe, hiding behind the audit story. He wants to be President. I think we have a right to see even if not legally a requirement. I understand a business man or wealthy person has a right to privacy. Fine then do not pursue a public office with great power over us all. For most this is a non issue. For some reason for him it is a huge issue. Why? I would substitute expectation for tradition. Anyway, he clearly will not and enough people do not care. So, he wins on this one.

    1. The tax return issue is his birther problem. Trump should be able to see that.

    2. Good analogy Terry. I never thought of it like that. I think he does see it, but there is damaging info in there. What exactly I do not know. The damaging thing though is his attitude of being above this expectation. What do you think of the "trust" he says will keep him in the dark about TO deals. He is temperamentally unable to know nothing about his beloved businesses. And anyway he watches "all the shows" that will be reporting it all 24/7.

    3. How can he be damaged if he already won? If we find that he gave nothing to charity which was an early question that hoped to turn voters against him...the finding coming now can't reverse the election. If there is anything illegal, that is exactly what the audit is looking for. What else is interesting as a possible finding that would have any effect on anything? We already know he paid little or no taxes due to a large deduction that is prorated for years now. And he won after people knew that. What's left after charity, taxes and illegal? We are wasting time unless he did the illegal but no civilian would discern that if the IRS after months has not found anything yet.

  6. There is the possibility of learning more about the true nature of his business ties, loans and Russian connections. How long does the IRS take to complete an audit anyway? Granted his are complex but really. It also speaks to his honesty, or lack thereof. Does it not bother you even a little that he seems to have an attitude that he is exempt from most rules because he is who he is? I do not see it as a waste of time at all. He is, in my opinion, a citizen and not royalty.

  7. Peace...I think he is a very sinful man who is moving toward a great punishment after death but his measured contempt for the pro abortion news/ celebrity/ democrat complex who are moving toward a greater punishment is refreshing. Trump is flawed galore...so was Bill Clinton getting oral sex from a Monica Lewinsky which liberals were indulgent toward as one could see in a Dave Chapell audience when Chapell referenced him and the act with no disapproval. If a year from now Trump did the same thing, liberals would point to it as a sign of his narcissism...but with Clinton, the sin was cuddly. Trump is better than pro abortion democrats and better than medicare cutting republicans like Paul Ryan who married money while talking about boot strap success. Trump for all his sins is better than the alternatives and he needs however to shut down these media issues and get to work.

  8. You will hear no defense of either. Clinton from me. I understand your other points as well. We did not have a reasonable choice. I believe Trump unstable, dangerous and probably will deliver us to the edge of the cliff or right over it. Unless YaYa's invoking St. Joseph saves him and us. I am hoping and praying. That is the most we can do. Peace to you too Bill.
