I'm happy for the peaceful transition of power ...

Looking good!

Thanks be to God!

  1. Melania looks great. I just wish Donald would get a proper haircut - the only one he is fooling with that comb over is himself.

    2. The military style coat she wore yesterday was gorgeous.
Yep, President Trump needs a proper haircut cause currently it looks in disarray and some might take that to mean his presidency may be too.
With St. Joseph as his assigned Parton Saint, not possible unless he refuses to cooperate con San Jose. ;)

  2. Melania is absolutely stunning. She was dressed so tastefully, just right. I see people are comparing her discreet style and beauty to Jackie Kennedy. Ivanka, too, was impeccable. And Barron is adorable. I must say, I am far more impressed with Melania than I expected. I thought she was just going along with everything because Donald expects it. But she looked genuinely happy and at ease with everything she encountered today. She seems to be an exceptionally good mother. I think she will make us proud.

Michelle seemed to be gracious and welcoming. She was dressed nicely as well, and she did not take away Melania's thunder, which is generous. I am so glad there did not appear to be any unpleasantness between either Presidential family. It speaks well of both families.

And I think it speaks well of the image present to the world as Americans. Well done!

PS - I read a story on the BBC website about the Taladega Marching Band. They have had to put up with quite a lot of hatefulness from many directions because they chose to perform at the Inauguration. The BBC interviewed some of the students. They are not making a political statement. They are just purely happy to represent their school and they are thrilled to perform for the new President and the rest. The only thing they seem to be a little regretful about is that they won't get to meet President Obama. I am proud of them, too!

    1. I was impressed in exactly the same way - Melania looked as if she truly embraced the position and seemed destined to be there. I couldn't help wonder what she thought - how incredible it must have seemed to her. I was impressed with Ivanka as well - he has two women who care very much about him, and of course, he cares for them too. And Barron was indeed a little gentleman.

  3. Speaking of the president's hair, I wonder if he is letting it grow out. It looks the way mine did when I decided to stop coloring it. For awhile I had that gold and gray mix look. I hope he does.

    1. Yeah - I hope he gets a stylist who will help with that - but it's not a big concern. I'm anxious to see him work - he wants to start today!

  4. While we're on the subject of the POTUS' hair......I can't believe anyone ever thought Trump wore a wig. Anyone with his money could afford to buy a good looking toupee.
