Jacob Wetterling's killer confessed today.

+Jacob Wetterling+
Martyr for purity.

Today, the man who sexually assaulted him and murdered him told the court what happened to the boy:
He handcuffed Jacob behind his back and drove away as Jacob asked, "What did I do wrong?"
He admitted sexually abusing Jacob.  After the assault, Jacob asked to go home and cried when told he couldn't.  The perpetrator later had Jacob turn around, then he shot him in the head.  Jacob was still standing after the first shot, and fell dead, after the second shot.  For more information go here.

It is a crime which cries to heaven for vengeance.

Please pray for Jacob's mom and dad and their family who until last week believed Jacob would return home alive.  Pray very much for the Wetterlings and the other victims whose lives have been irreparably harmed, interrupted and grievously injured by the perpetrator-murderer.

    1. True. Cowards who cower in darkness thinking they "are safe" as long as no one looks their way. I guess they may have forgotten God knows.

On the last day all hearts will be laid bare.

Those words keep coming to mind.

  2. God may convert this killer but that is not a given...why?....we ignore I Cor. 3:17 if we presume God saves every destroyer:
" if any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are."

  3. This tears out my heart. Sometimes I wonder if it's worse knowing than not knowing.

  4. I still can't express my grief. I offered my communion for Jacob and his mom and dad. I kept imagining Our Lady accepting the little Jacob - her hands holding him stalwart and strong until the final shot - when she took his soul to her Son, in heaven. Queen of martyrs, pray for us.

I'm so sad for his mom and dad and whole family.

  5. Every time I see a story like this I hold my little grandchildren closer and pray for their protection. The coward's way of killing may have been a mercy for the little boy. Can you imagine the increased terror of seeing the gun aimed at your head.

My Jesus, mercy on all of us to the degree we are not fighting to transform our culture of death into a culture of life.

  6. But still a coward. He only confessed and shared the burial location as part of a plea bargain. Child molesters don't do w ell in prison. I would guess that child molesters who execute their victims don't do well either.
