St. Mark, Andrea Mantegna
After several writers moved on and off the Patheos Catholic channel - Mark focused on his NCRegister column - now he's back writing Catholic and Enjoying It as well.
I'm really glad. He's one of the most honest Catholic writers online. I've always liked him for that.
That's all I've got - check him out though - he's back with a vengeance, as they say out West. He's so not happy about what some in pro-life leadership are saying about who we must support in the upcoming elections. I really needed to read that from Mark.
Frank Weathers is back too. I like him. In fact, he's one of the nicest Catholics online.
If only Kat would come back now.

DeleteNo you don't. But like I said, you're blog often does. There are certainly moments of goodness, but far too many of the posts seem intentionally written in such a way as to illicit as much of an angry response as possible.

Some, such as Fr. Martin are alluding to the fact that this "move is hugely significant. We are talking about reopening the discussion about ordaining women. And to reiterate, a deacon presides at baptisms, funerals and weddings, all occasions of preaching."
All of this just when he has only agreed to "study women deacons in the early Church."

ReplyDeleteGood grief! When will God rid the world of heretics and hate mongers like Mark? I was so glad when he quit the blog. I only wish the NCR would fire him for his constant hate mongering toward traditional Catholic and the republican party.

DeleteOh, and I believe all that the Holy Catholic Church believes, teaches, and proclaims is revealed by God--including the part where laypeople in comboxes have zero authority to excommunicate their brethren merely because of disagreements about aesthetics and refusal to prostrate oneself to political idols.
