"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

The Pope serves lunch ...

I love this Pope so much!

I saw it here:

Today in Florence Pope Francis spoke to Italian bishops of his vision for the church.
Then, at lunch in a soup kitchen, he showed them.

  1. The joy, the tears, the hope, and finally, the consolation of realizing "yes, despite my sins, my poverty, my frailty, I AM LOVED right where I am."

Perhaps, it is because all our Holy Father Francis is doing is living the Gospel beatitudes in service of his neighbor. Were we all so honest so as to live as our Lord Jesus Christ would have us do so, what an awesome sight that would be ... the Catholic Church, universally on fire for God.

  2. Watered-down lemon cordial in plastic disposable cups. I'd be insulted.
